Who We Are ?
CycleXpress.co.uk was created with the belief you deserve a great experience, through service and information, while buying cycling gear on the Internet. We are passionate about cycling and spent our lives working in the cycling industry, both for manufacturers and now as retailers.

Together, our team has more than 100 years of experience in the cycle industry and combined have more than 80 years of experience using the gear that we sell. From national champions, to club riders, commuters and weekend riders, our team has the know-how to get you the right gear for your activity.

A Little History

Back in 1998, Julian and Matt Middleton owned a great bicycle shop in a small market town in Lancashire, England. The bicycle shop had been opened 20 years earlier by their mum and dad.

They started to think about expansion and how they could spread their cycling message to more people. For many people who didn't have the benefit living near to a good bicycle shop, the only option was to turn to one of the national retail chains who sold cycling gear as a tag-on to there main interests. Julian and Matt decided to do something about it.

After several months of talk and a number of phone calls they hit upon New Mind, a Liverpool based Internet company. Richard, Andy and Rich (the New Mind boys) sat them down around a laptop and enthused how they could spread their cycling message to the world on the Internet.

The business opened shortly after above the bicycle shop with one computer, one phone and a rather iffy printer.

Today the business now operates out of its own warehouse, with a dedicated staff, a few more computers and a much better printer. Our success is down to the fact that we have stuck to our mantra of 'great products at great prices all delivered free* and with the best customer service'.
